Ce projet a pris forme au sein du Studio de projet Solid Thinking à l’Ensa Nantes. L’enseignement, avide de références métabolistes poussait l’exploration de géométries complexes jusqu’à leur mise en œuvre concrète par la construction. Le site encore inconnu lors des premières esquisses à pousser à développer un volume sculptural en tant que logement insolite. La jeune Forêt de Kergo n’avait pas les ressources de porter une construction habitable. L’idée a été de répliquer un arbre, presque grossier, presque ironique et se dressant verticalement avec un tronc et des embranchements habitables. L’objet totémique est la résultante d’un environnement pas encore connu. Des puits de lumières privilégies un rapport avec la nature en offrants des cadres sur la végétation environnante tout en protégeant des éventuels regards de l‘extérieurs.
This project took shape within the Solid Thinking project studio at Ensa Nantes. The teaching, eager for metabolic references, pushed the exploration of complex geometries to their concrete implementation through construction. The site, still unknown at the time of the first sketches, led to the development of a sculptural volume as an unusual dwelling. The young Forêt de Kergo did not have the resources to support a habitable construction. The idea was to replicate a tree, almost crude, almost ironic and standing vertically with a trunk and habitable branches. The totemic object is the result of an environment not yet known. Light shafts privilege a relationship with nature by offering frames on the surrounding vegetation while protecting it from the possible glances of the outside world.
